1. What home gadget or tool should every homeowner own?

Dishwashing gloves AND a Plastic Hair Snake– When doing dirty chores around the house, keeping your hands clean makes the task seem less daunting. Equally important is having the drains in your house flow nicely. Using a plastic Hair Snake is an easy way to clear a clogged or slow running drain. This durable plastic tool is suitable for most household sinks, showers and tub drains!!!  TRY IT, you won’t be disappointed!

2. What’s your favorite HGTV or DIY Network series?

Well, of course our favorite show is RENOVATION 911!!! We love that we are able to share what we do every day with the entire country. We have a unique niche in the construction industry. We respond to home and business emergencies every day. Our goal is to help those that are dealing with an unexpected  disaster and turn their space into something they have always dreamed of.

3. In your opinion what’s the most underrated tool in your toolbox?

Tape Measure – this is the NUMBER ONE item that every homeowner needs. When doing any project, knowing the dimensions, is crucial. The size determines everything you need from the number of paint cans to how many sq ft of counter tops! It is a MUST have that we don’t talk a lot about.

4. What is one project you tell people to NOT do as DIY?

Electrical – you can shock yourself, install wiring incorrectly and inadvertently cause a fire hazard. This is one trade that we usually rely on a sub-contractor.

7. What home trends are you loving? What styles do you think will emerge in the future?

Wallpaper: We are loving pops of wallpaper, especially on a small wall or ceiling! There are so many designs and options. Everyone can find something they like with Wallpaper.

Moody Rooms: During COVID, home offices became very popular. We are seeing the trends move toward having a Moody Room. For example, using one deep color for walls, trim and ceiling will create a cool vibe in any room.

8. Which HGTV / DIY Network star would you most like to work with and why?

Mike Holmes – he reminds us of our dad. It is important to him to do things right, won’t cut corners even if it costs more and we think we could really make him laugh!
